Adaptation is part of every human being, we have to live changes every single moment of our lives, but we are the ones that have to decide when and how. Living a healthy lifestyle may be a challenge and sometimes we are not prepared for new changes. However, we can do little steps or baby steps to reach our goal and keep it for the rest of our lives.

In my personal experience, changing to a healthy lifestyle was challenging and I had to be determined with my objectives to keep going. Willpower is the key for success, if your mind does not connect with your feelings, it may be more challenging. According to Mayo Clinic, only about 3% of Americans keep or live a healthy lifestyle. This really means that the rest of the population does not considerate the advantages of living a healthy life, such as lowering the risk of getting a decease, maintain a healthy weight, and feel emotionally well and strong.

It is true that most of the time people think living a healthy life means going through a strict diet or leave behind your favorite glass of wine. You have to take into consideration that our mind and body needs balance, not extreme sides. For example, if you used to drink a glass of wine everyday, now do it only twice or once a week and the same with certain foods, such as bread or rice. The reason to focus on this is because you cannot make a drastic change in only one day; indeed, make those changes gradually.

I used to think that a healthy life was doing crazy diets for two or three weeks, get on the scale, and look at my weight, only. Well, I was totally wrong! I realized that creating habits or healthy habits are essential for a successful outcome in this journey. I know that many commercials and ads try to focus only on the weigh and the perfect body, but I believe is more than just your physical appearance, it is more about feeling good from the inside out.

Just remember:

"Create Healthy Habits, No Restrictions"

lifestyle, healthy, good habits, begin, balance, step by step

Stay Healthy and Keep Going!
