Who doesn't like fruits? Well, there might be some people who don't really like fruits at all, but most people love fruits, myself included. Certainly, nutritionist and experts always say that fruits should be consumed in small portions, and sometimes they mention not to consume fruits with high levels of sugar. Ummm!? I totally think if you eat small portions of food (any type of fruit you want), you shouldn't be worried about calories or sugar intakes from eating what you like.

It is true that some fruits are higher in calories, such as bananas, mangos, and grapes. Indeed, those are fruits that doctors tell you to stay away if you want to lose weight or lower your sugar levels, especially for people who suffer of diabetes. Therefore, there is still some myths about fruits and facts since studies have been made to answer our doubts.

Kiwis, never eat those until I came to this country and when I tried them for the first time, I couldn't stop eating them!

Oranges, rich in vitamin C, juicy, sometimes sweet or sour but still love them!

Strawberries, since I was a little kid, I couldn't avoid eating strawberries with condensed milk as my favorite dessert!

It is fact that fruits that come from berries are low in calories, they have less sugar, and they are rich in antioxidants, which are helpful to avoid different kinds of diseases. You can consume berries, such as blueberries, strawberries, cranberries, and raspberries in different ways. For example, I love to drop some blueberries or raspberries in my oatmeal for breakfast. It is delicious, believe me!

It is also a fact that fruits, any kind, should be eaten in wholes instead of making juices of fruit. The reason is simple since you have to put more fruits in a blender which means more sugar intake. On the other hand, eating portions of fruits is better, you are intaking lower calories and actually you are consuming all the vitamins and nutrients that these fruits offer.

Try to consume the seasonal fruits since you can enjoy the most tasteful flavors. Who doesn't eat apples in winter time, those apples are good and keep you full for long period of time. Or, who doesn't eat pineapples or watermelon in summer time. In fact, these two fruits contains a lot of water and keeps you hydrated and they are refreshing!

Watermelons, low in calories and juicy!

Apples, " An apple a day, keeps the doctor away."

Pineapples, full of antioxidants, sweet, juicy, and refreshing!

My only advise is that you should consume all the fruits you like in small portions and just enjoy them.

Warning: You can become a fruitaholic!
